I NEED HELP!!!!!. I think I got the part on how to convert Binary to Decimal and Vise Versa. ( i think 
) . I dont know if my question might be dumb but am I supposed to convert the whole IP address ( each decimal octet ) into binary the same way?? Can you tell this is all new to me.
My other ?? is about Subnet Mask. Where are these #s coming from?? I know there is a formula where you are supposed to plug in all these numbers such as: IP address is 192.168.221.37 and the subnet mask is 29 the host is 37. How am i supposed to figure this out. SHOULD I GET NETWORK FOR DUMMIES??? I need Someone who can simplify this for me. Once i get the WHY answered then probably I will understatd better.
