Fish Oil (omega 3 fatty acids) help the brain store and keep information. Drinking a lot of water and staying well hydrated also helps the brain maintain new information. Besides the health choices for maintaining new information there are more tips, too. Such as the use of flash cards (most popular method), going over the material at least 3 times a week for a month (this was suggested by a medical student, with great success), if you learn more by auditory then make a poem or a rhyming song that holds some important material you learned, if you learn best by seeing then you would do best by using a graph- list the main material you learn then list little facts about that material. If you learn by doing then you would do best by making notes and highlighting all the key words and doing this multiple times until it sticks in your memory. Also make sure you are in a silent area to study so that you can remain 100% focused, a little distraction can really make it difficult for the brain to remember anything. Good luck
